Independence day

Yet another month has passed since our last posting. Obviously this has not become a routine for us, but it will be nice once we are in Malawi.
Today is July 4th and I am so grateful for the freedom we have in this country, and I feel completely indebted to those who have fought to give me this freedom. Yet, even the wonderful freedoms we have here are nothing in comparison to the freedom we have in Christ. Christ died so that we could have freedom from our sin---freedom to become completely whole people. Oh how I long for freedom from worries and anxieties, greed and envy, strongholds in my life. God has made that possible through Jesus and day-by-day I seek Jesus for that freedom. Praise the Lord!
